We are passionate about animals, and we know that pets mean a lot to their family’s as well!

We believe that all animals deserve the best care possible, and we understand that many members of our community cannot always afford the cost of treatment when their animals get sick. We truly believe preventative care is hugely beneficial to ensure the health and longevity of our community animals and can often save you money in the long run.

Whether you are new to pet ownership, or you have always had a pet in the family, one thing is for sure as a responsible pet owner you are going to need a good pet health programme for your animals at some stage. Preventive care is so important for pets, which is why we have launched our Wellness programmes to assist our community.   Our individual Wellness programmes focus on preventive healthcare and include regular health exams, vaccinations, nutritional and behaviour advice, dental care, microchipping and sterilisation.

Tripod aka Garfield:
The ginger and white cat, born in 2018, was admitted to the hospital in April 2019, with a broken front leg. Surgery was not successful, and his left front leg was amputated in May 2019. Healing took a long time and when he was ready for discharge in September 2019, he was abandoned by his owner, and a bill of R5500.00
After following our admission process for the Freedom Village in October 2019, he joined the cats in the Village and has spent 3 ½ years with them, enjoying the grass and sunshine.

He was adopted in March 2023 and relocated to the East Rand.
Coco:
This Staffordshire Bull Terrier was handed in for adoption in May 2022. At 8 months, she was already vaccinated and sterilised.
She loved interacting with the corporate volunteers and tired them out one by one with her active walk, high ball drive and love for  life. She was adopted on the same day as Tripod but stayed in the south with her new owner and family.
