PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ACT
The compliance due date for the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”), being 30 June 2021, is here. This deadline brings a few changes on how we interact with you, our supporters.
One of these changes is that the Animal Anti-Cruelty League Johannesburg™ will be required to obtain your consent for being part of our newsletter, insights and mailing lists.
As such, you are herewith notified that you are entitled to refuse such consent and you may exercise such a right by unsubscribing to our emails, which you will find at the bottom of this email and each newsletter.
Should you elect to remain part of our news updates, and we hope you do, it will be accepted that you have consented to be a part of the list.
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League Johannesburg™ would like to assure you that we have taken the necessary steps to protect how your data is used, stored and processed, in accordance with the POPIA regulations.
In this regard, we will use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and agreed with you.
In addition, where necessary your information may be retained for legal purposes.
Now, if you decide to leave us, unsubscribing is as easy as clicking the link at the bottom of this email, but just think about what you will be missing: everything from exciting online shop offers and product reveals to exclusive event invites, valuable animal information and so much more. We know you will make the right choice.
