We are disappointed at the recent negative comments posted on Facebook.
We are also saddened by the misrepresentation of recent circumstances and slandering of the Organisation and individuals.
Animals are available for adoption at our facility for varying periods of time, but people do not always come forward to adopt them. Not all animals will be adopted and not all adoptions will be successful, and we have to make decisions that the public are not prepared to. We work with all classes, species and variety of animals, not just a select few.
We honour our core functions as set out in our Constitution and will not be dictated to by individuals, to the detriment of the larger population.
As an animal welfare organisation, we have been caring for and protecting animals since 1956. We are transparent in our actions as an Organisation and welcome positive engagement from the public.
