Your donations could be tax-deductible….

The Animal Anti-Cruelty League-Johannesburg™ (AACL-JHB™) relies totally on the generosity of the animal loving public for survival.  

As a registered Public Benefit Organisation that has been approved by SARS (PBO reference No: 930006842), AACL-JHB™ can issue a Section 18A Certificate, making any donation made, financial or in kind tax-deductible. This applies to both individual as well as corporate donors.

AACL-JHB™ concentrates on five key areas of assistance to the community: Veterinary care, investigating and when required prosecuting animal abuse, shelter for abandoned and abused animals, adoptions of animals and education of students and the community on responsible pet ownership and the challenges of animal welfare.

Financial support to AACL -JHB™ can be made as a “once-off donation” or you can arrange to give regular monthly support via a debit order.
Organisation’s looking for a worthy cause to which to allocate their CSI budget, should look no further than AACL-JHB™ as all the monies donated enable us to continue to serve our community and their animals.

The SA Government is incentivizing you to donate, and we are perfectly positioned to assist you in gaining this benefit.  Should you require a copy of your tax certificate for your donation, please contact us on jhb@aacl-jhbnb.co.za

Once you have received your certificate you will need to upload it through the e-filing platform when submitting your tax returns.

WORLD SPAY DAY

AACL-JHB™ celebrated World Spay day on 28th February 2022.

It might sound harsh, but the truth is, the failure to spay and neuter dogs and cats is responsible for hundreds of unwanted animals living on the streets without homes or food and ultimately end up being dropped off at shelters as stray or abandoned animals.

World Spay Day is celebrated on 28th February each year with the aim to not only decrease the stray pet population, but also to raise awareness about being a responsible pet owner and the sterilization of pets and associated benefits thereof.

This year AACL-JHB™ celebrated World spay day by assisting some of our clients by subsidizing the sterilisation of their dogs, cats and feral cats. In total we sterilised 26 animals (15 Spays and 11 castrations).
