The Animal Anti-Cruelty League in Cape Town is under new management, and we are excited to welcome another Veterinary Nurse to join our experienced and passionate welfare team in a busy small animal hospital.
We are the second largest welfare in South Africa, with a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. We strive to offer quality health care to deserving communities. We have a very supportive, energetic and committed team of vets and nurses. We truly have wonderful vets on our team, and they allow our nurses to be nurses! Our theatre equipment has recently been upgraded and we also have digital x-ray facilities.
The position consists of the following tasks:
- (70%) Undertaking general and surgical nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care and all anaesthesia
- (10%) General hospital in-patient care
- (10%) Providing excellent primary health care through consultations
- (10%) Supporting and assisting the Veterinarians and hospital staff with daily treatments
Candidate must be a registered veterinary nurse with the South African Veterinary Council. New graduates are welcome to apply.
The position offers excellent working hours (NO AFTER HOURS) and nurses are not expected to work in mobile clinics. Salary is negotiable considering SAVA guidelines.
