The Animal Anti-Cruelty League in Cape Town is excited to welcome a Veterinary Nurses to join our experienced and passionate welfare team in a busy small animal hospital.
We are one of the largest animal welfare organisations in South Africa, with a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. We strive to offer quality health care for deserving communities.
We have a lovely team of vets, nurses and excellent support staff and we have the privilege of caring for approximately 50,000 animals per year. We truly have wonderful vets on our team, and they allow our nurses to be nurses! Our theatre equipment has recently been upgraded and we also have digital x-ray facilities.
The position consists of the following tasks:
- (80%) Undertaking general and surgical nursing tasks, including anaesthesia, pre- and post- operative care
- (10%) General hospital in-patient care and treatments
- (10%) Providing excellent primary health care through consultations
Candidate must be a registered Veterinary Nurse with the SAVC. New graduates are welcome to apply.
