AACL Johannesburg (Animal Anti-Cruelty League) would like to thank all their hospital clients and supporters for their kind patronage during the year and to wish them a very warm festive season and a prosperous and happy 2018.  We would also like to sincerely thank the Southern Courier and Comaro Chronicle for their outstanding support during the past year. As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on our local Caxton media to publicize important issues relevant to our industry and we appreciate the goodwill we have received in this regard.

Please note that all our departments, including kennels and the charity shop, will be open during December and will be operating as usual on Saturday 23rd and 30th December.  We will be closed on the 16th, 25th, 26th December and the 1st January 2018.  Operating hours for our hospital are from Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 11:00 and from 13:00 to 14:00 in the afternoons.  We do not consult on a Friday and our hours on Saturdays are from 08:30 to 11:00 a.m.  As we currently only have the services of one veterinarian, we work on a first come, first served basis and are limited as to the number of patients we can see.  For out of hours emergencies, please contact your nearest private veterinarian or New South Veterinary Clinic on ()11) 682 3213, or Animal Emergency Clinic on (011) 788 4748.

Please be advised that these are private practices and their terms, conditions and rates will apply.  Johannesburg SPCA has a 24 hour duty inspector available for after-hours emergencies, contactable on 083 604 1172.  They will also be open 24 hours a day to take in stray animals.
